AN ANALYSIS IN 4G v 5G: IS THE FUTURE BRIGHT FOR LTE?

5G technology is getting plenty of publicity as an emerging technology. With the subject in the limelight, we are being asked by clients where does 5G fit in their strategy?

Most people think of 5G and 4G as technologies in themselves. However, 5G, at this point, does not have a confirmed technology, and as a result LTE technology continues to dominate in the carrier world.

LTE is far from being a short-lived technical solution, and this is because of the technology’s dynamic properties which continues to see the technology adapt to varying requirements. In fact, it is widely viewed that LTE will evolve into a 5G technology through future 3GPP releases.

Titan ICT’s Greg Pennefather and Justin Wyatt chat about the merits of 4G versus 5G and why the future remains bright for LTE.
